Staying in Touch –
at a safe distance!

Today, this blog highlights our secretary, Phil Worthington from the level 1 class.
Phil has another interest as well as SCD. (Don’t we all!). He’ll tell you something about it.
We also have a medley of two dances by the dem team video in 2002 (same digits as this year in another order).
And finally, Ian Fraser sent in a Rant from “The Oldie” a Scottish publication.
If you have an interesting past time let me know and I can feature it – the branch is full of members with all sorts of past times.
There is a comments area at the bottom of the post where you can also pass on messages and thoughts to other members. So come and participate, all I need is your input!
STAY WELL

Very interesting, Phil, though I don’t know how you could bear to part with all those dogs you took in, every one a winner!
I loved your video, Phil !!! Your love and attention to these wonderful furry creatures is so evident!!!
Thank you for it!!

Lincumdoddie looked great fun but pretty complex!
For the record, The Oldie is very much not a Scottish mag. As its name indicates it is aimed at the over fifties. These days its focus is very much London and home counties, show biz, arts and literature So it was a surprise to see something about Scottish Country dancing. Ferdie Rous is a well known and unrepentant fattie who writes for The Oldie and Catholic Herald and anything else that will publish his stuff, The Rant column is open to anyone with a favourite grumble, usually amusing and often tongue-in-cheek.
Great video Phil. Really enjoyed seeing the dogs and their stories.
